The UNC basketball staff will host Perry (Ariz.) junior Koa Peat the second weekend of November, 247Sports' Sherrell McMillan reported on Tuesday afternoon. It'll be an official visit.

And it sounds like the 6-foot-8, 235-pound five-star bruiser will attend the UNC football game against archrival Duke in Kenan Memorial Stadium on Nov. 11 (homecoming) and the basketball team's matchup against Lehigh in the Dean E. Smith Center the following day.

It's worth noting that Jon Scheyer's Blue Devils are also in the mix for Peat, along with fellow recruiting powerhouse Kentucky and bluebloods Kansas and UCLA, among dozens of other schools.

Peat sits at No. 4 overall, No. 2 among power forwards, and No. 1 in his state on the 247Sports 2025 Composite.

He'll be on campus alongside at least one fellow 2025 UNC target in Holy Innocents Episcopal School (Ga.) five-star power forward Caleb Wilson, who ranks one spot below Peat and will be on an unofficial visit.

Thus far, Koa Peat has been on official visits to Michigan and Texas. He has yet to report any upcoming official visits outside the one with the Tar Heels.

Meanwhile, UNC has yet to land a commitment from any 2025 prospects. But it's still extremely early.

Head coach Hubert Davis and his staff have offers on the table to Peat, Wilson, five-star power forward Cameron Boozer, five-star power forward Bryson Tiller, five-star small forward Isiah Harwell, five-star combo guard Jasper Johnson, five-star shooting guard Cayden Boozer, and five-star shooting guard Darryn Peterson.
