Jesuit School (Fla.) defensive lineman Peter Pesansky, one of five 2024 UNC football signees from "The Sunshine State," visited the Tar Heels and Oklahoma during his recruitment. The 6-foot-3, 285-pound three-star ultimately committed to Mack Brown and his crew in April and signed his national letter of intent earlier this week.

Pesansky, who also plays basketball and lacrosse for his school, sits at No. 722 overall, No. 80 at his position, and No. 101 among Florida preps on the 247Sports 2024 Composite.

After getting word of his signing, the Tar Heels' social media team spotlighted Pesanky's signing by posting these highlights and hype video:

As 247Sports' Don Callahan sees it, any scouting report on Pesansky should center on his impressive leadership qualities as an aggressive defender in the trenches:

"Pesansky possesses the perfect temperament for a Power 5 defensive tackle — he's tenacious, and plays with nastiness. Those intangibles coupled with a non-stop motor help the 6-foot-3, 285-pounder compensate for the lack of ideal size. He’s a natural leader who plays with a contagious energy."

Peter Pesansky is among 27 prizes in the 2024 UNC football recruiting class. It ranks as the nation's No. 26 haul, as things stand.
