USC Basketball: Andy Enfield Provides Cagey Update On Isaiah Collier's Surgery Recovery

The standout freshman underwent hand surgery last month.

USC Trojans point guard Isaiah Collier is on pace with his initial 4-6 week recovery timetable.

On Wednesday, head coach Andy Enfield gave an update on Collier -- who is still not cleared to practice.

Per Luca Evans of The Orange County Register, Collier is expected to return in a couple more weeks.

Collier sustained a hand injury against Washington State on January 10th. He subbed out with just over 12 minutes remaining in the second half.

At that time, Collier was USC's second-leading scorer, with 15.4 points per game while shooting 50.6 percent from the field. He led the team with 66 assists.

The freshman from Georgia was the nation's top recruit out of high school and was expected to be a lottery pick in the NBA Draft. He has missed four games so far and could miss six more if he wants to return for the rematch at UCLA on Feb. 24.

USC looks to snap a five-game losing streak on Thursday night at the Galen Center against Oregon. It's the first losing streak of at least five games since 2015.

The Trojans' eight wins through their first 20 games are their fewest since also being 8-12 to start the 2012-13 season.

The game will air on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. PST with Dave Pasch and Bill Walton calling the action.
