USC Basketball: Boogie Ellis Setting Pace For Pac-12 In This Stat
The USC Trojans may have lost their footing the last two weeks after losses to both Gonzaga and Long Beach State, but the team is still stacked with talent. Despite losing to Long Beach State, the game served as the long-awaited debut of Bronny James.
James is set to work his way slowly into the starting lineup, as he went through a scary health situation when he suffered cardiac arrest. His debut was still full of highlights, including a behind-the-back block that was reminiscent of LeBron's skills.
On top of Bronny James, the Trojans have Boogie Ellis, who has been making his presence known throughout the season. Ellis is a fantastic player and now leads the Pac-12 in scoring.
First and foremost we want to wish Ellis a belated birthday, but we also want to recognize the young player for leading the Pac-12 in scoring.
Ellis currently leads the conference with 21.4 PPG. That average is also good for being tied-14th in the nation.
Ellis secured 14 points in USC's loss to LBS and also logged 4 assists and 3 rebounds. The young guard has been all over the court so far, and the Trojans should lean on him to rebound the team from their past two losses.
USC is set to take on Auburn on 12/17, and they will look to bounce back from back-to-back losses.
