USC Basketball: Bronny James Makes Statement About Return To Trojans
In a bit of a shock, your USC Trojans dropped their game against Long Beach State on Sunday by the final of 84-79.
But amidst the sad news was some happier stuff: the game marked the college debut of highly-touted freshman guard Bronny James, son of NBA superstar LeBron James.
James returned to the court after suffering an unfortunate cardiac arrest attack this past summer. He was cleared a few weeks ago and has been practicing with the team to ramp up his game activity since.
Across 16 minutes, James scored four points, grabbed three rebounds and passed for two assists. He also added a highlight reel block mid-game as well.
After the game was over, Bronny took the chance to thank everyone for their support leading up to his college basketball debut. It was a special moment for the freshman and a day that he will never forget.
Fans everywhere were paying close attention to the debut of Bronny, even some athletes. The Galen Center was sold out for this game, though sadly the Trojans couldn't hold on for the win.
It was an action-packed game that went into overtime. In the end, the lack of continuity may have hurt them, but they will learn from this game and get better.
Bronny should only get more minutes as the season progresses, and he will be much better. His future is very bright, and the Trojans are happy he is a part of the program.
