USC Basketball Coach Explains Why Isaiah Collier is So Easy to Play With

Isaiah Collier has yet to suit up in a single game for the USC Trojans but the entire fanbase is learning every day just how special this new squad is going to be with him leading the way. The 2022-2023 Georgia Player of the Year averaged about 20 points, six assists, five rebounds and two steals per game in his senior year at Wheeler High School and was named the number one player in the nation on most recruiting sites.
Collier opting to continue his education and playing career at USC shows how the school continues to grow as a destination for some of the most talented players in the nation. The 6'4 guard is going to bring a level of poise and versatility to the Trojans that will expand their offense from day one. With Collier handling the ball and sharpshooters Boogie Ellis and Bronny James filling lanes next to him, expect a whole lot of buckets this coming year.

And as always, there are few bonds in sports that are important than that of a point guard's connection with his coach. I've always believed that a point guard is the coach of the team on the court and has to lead by example and keep an eye on everybody at all times.
And Collier is already garnering a ton of praise from USC's entire coaching staff. Assistant Chris Capko explained why players love suiting up alongside Collier so much.
“A lot of people like playing with Isaiah. Isaiah is an old-school point guard in terms of pass-first, get others involved.”
