USC Basketball: LeBron James Writes Heartfelt Tribute To Bronny After First-Ever College Game
USC Trojans freshman guard Bronny James, son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, made his collegiate debut over the weekend in what was a spectacle in Southern California. Months after he suffered an unfortunate cardiac arrest attack, Bronny was back on the floor with his teammates.
The young guard had limited playing time, but his debut was special. It was one of the more highly-anticipated debuts in college basketball history, and the crowd was hyped.
The Galen Center was sold out for the matchup against Long Beach State, and there was plenty of star power in the crowd. This includes the elder James, who had previously said that he wouldn't miss the game for the world.
After it was over, Bronny's father took to social media to honor his son. It was a heartful post from LeBron, and you could tell how happy he was.
Unfortunately, USC couldn't hold on for the win, but it's a game that fans will never forget. The entire James family won't forget it either, and the hope is that Bronny can continue to grow his game as the year goes on.
He does have some NBA buzz behind him, so if he can perform well, the league will come calling. Bronny is a talented player in his own right, and we saw small glimpses of that on Sunday.
