Not long after Trojan commit Bronny James suffered his own collapse while training, the nation got more sad news surrounding another young basketball prospect's health.

During a workout at his high school, Alabama basketball superstar Caleb White not only collapsed, but passed away suddenly from his condition not long after.

A scary situations that's become all too familiar in the recent past for basketball fans, fans continue to speculate on what the cause of such a catastrophic event for another young athlete.

Similar comments were made on James' condition but the reality of the situation is that we simply do not know the exact cause as to why many young hoopers have suffered these freak accidents.

James luckily has recovered to a stable condition, but his return to the Trojans remains a big question mark not just this season, but for the foreseeable future.

Unable to join the USC team on their most recent exhibition tour in Europe, James leaves behind a backcourt of veteran Boog Ellis and fellow freshman Isaiah Collier.

Wanting to improve from their first round exit in the March Madness tournament to Michigan State last season, USC looks poised to improve with more contributions from the likes of Kobe Johnson and others.

The absence of their exciting young freshman to provide backcourt depth is a blow to the team, but the squad remains confident in their abilities to recover.

Should James return to game action this season, it'd be a miraculous feat, though doctors may advise again such a possibility considering the example that White's tragic passing has set.

It'd be better to take it slow and ensure no further damage could be done to the young star point guard. In the meantime, USC will head into battle with the men that they have, ready to take on all comers on the court.
