USC Basketball: Trojans Commit Lands on Top Newcomers and Biggest Risers List
The USC Trojans are doing all they can to build a serious contender from a basketball standpoint. USC, known for being a football school, is looking to change all that, and its 2023 class is working towards that.
USC's 2023 class ranked number three according to 247Sports, and their 2024 class is currently ranked at number 14. USC is certainly getting the recruits to make the Trojans serious contenders, one of which includes a local four-star commit, Trent Perry.
Perry is currently USC's top commit and is receiving love from 247Sports Travis Branham. Branham listed the top newcomers and biggest risers in 2024 and put Perry on the list.
Future USC Trojan,
Trent Perry
, is having a strong season with his Studio City (Calif.) Harvard Westlake team.
Perry has long been a tough, skilled and aggressive combo-guard but he has taken his game up a notch during his senior season. He drills shots from three, gets to his spots out of ball-screens, distributes the ball to his teammates as well as brings great energy and effort each time he takes the floor. Production, consistency and reliability have been his calling cards of his this season.

Perry is the local kid attending Harvard Westlake in Studio City. Perry committed to USC in November 2023 and is set to do great things for the program.
He is ranked 50th in his class, the number-five point guard, and the seventh-best player in California in 2024.
Perry will be a McDonald's All-American and showcase his talents to the entire country on April 2nd in Houston. He stands at 6-foot-4, 18- pounds, and will surely bring the Trojans to new heights.
