Your USC Trojans take on the Auburn Tigers this Sunday in their first true road matchup of the season.

At just 5-4, USC will head to the South to square off with the 7-2 Tigers, who are coming off of two straight wins.

With a 28-point blowout victory over the 7-3 Indiana Hoosiers just last week, Auburn has the signature win that USC does not, demonstrating where they're at as a team and the challenge that USC faces this coming Sunday. The Trojans, meanwhile, are coming off of an inexplicable, yet telling loss to the Long Beach State Dirtbags

Here's how to watch USC/Auburn:

Game Date: December 17th, 2023

Game Time: 10 a.m. PST

Network: ESPN

This nationally televised game will be major, as it indicates USC"s first matchup against an SEC team this year – a conference that historically produces terrific teams. Betting-wise, USC is a four-point underdog. To me, this is an undershoot, as being on the road in a hostile SEC environment in a 10 a.m. tipoff slot represents a lot of things that don't favor USC.

Moreover, for a team to be favored by just four points suggests that oddsmakers believe there's a very real chance that USC keeps the game extremely close, which, personally also feels far-fetched. Auburn has proven their competency throughout the season thus far while USC has not, and their combination of size and athleticism could prove costly for a Trojans squad that is yet to find their footing (or may not have footing, at all).

That said, this time of year could result in less fans, as students have headed home for winter break, potentially limiting Auburn's home-court advantage.

Coming off of an out-of-conference loss to Gonzaga prior to their LBSU collapse, USC has plenty to prove. We'll see if they can get the job done.
