In this story:

Coming off of two bounce-back wins against California and Stanford, the Trojans will look to pick up 3 straight victories against the Washington State Cougars at the Galen Center tonight.

The Cougars are off to one of their better seasons in recent memory, sitting at 10-5. That said, they're 1-3 in conference play and 0-2 on the road, with most of their wins being blowouts against bad teams on their home court.

Their two most recent games: a win against Oregon St. and a loss against Oregon by 7 and 5 respectively, however, suggest that the Cougars are more than capable of playing at a high level in conference play, as those margins were narrower than both of USC's matchups with the Oregon schools (loss by 16, loss by 8, respectively).

Here's how to watch the second-to-last regular season meeting between these conference foes:

Date: January 10th

Time: 7:30 p.m. PST

Network: FS1

Per sports betting aggregate The Action Network, the Trojans are favored by 6.5 points, suggesting they'll win fairly comfortably.

Personally, I'm not on this train, as I think USC's win against Cal means very little given the caliber of their team, while their unsustainably hot shooting against Stanford carries little weight in the predictions of future games.

Washington State has played Oregon and Oregon State well, defeating the latter, which is the only head-to-head comparison that can be done with the Trojans. The Cougars struggle on the road which may help USC, but the sample size is also small. Expect a close one, but I think Washington State wins this.
