USC, Bronny James will open men's basketball season against Kansas State in Las Vegas
USC men's basketball will open the 2023-24 season in Las Vegas against Kansas State on Nov. 6, according to a report from Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports. Oregon will also play Georgia as part of a doubleheader.
The games will be played at T-Mobile Arena and will mark the start of Bronny James and Isaiah Collier's college careers — the two top ranked freshmen in USC's 2023 recruiting class.
James, 247Sports.com's No. 27 ranked recruit, spent the last four years at Sierra Canyon High School (Chatsworth, Calif.). The combo guard chose USC over his other finalists Ohio State and Oregon back in May.
Collier is 247Sports.com's No. 1 ranked recruit. He played high school basketball at Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.) and plays point guard. Collier signed with USC last November and is already on campus.
With leading scorer Boogie Ellis returning as well as Kobe Johnson and Joshua Morgan, two All-Pac-12 Defensive team picks last season, USC should have one of its best rosters of the Andy Enfield era. Expectations will fairly be high for the Trojans.
