USC men's basketball adds 4-star 2023 prospect to team up with Bronny James
Class of 2023 four-star power forward Brandon Gardner committed to USC men's basketball on Friday, according to a report.
The Trojans had one final scholarship open for the 2023-24 season — the team's roster is now complete.
Gardner played high school basketball at Christ The King Regional in New York. He's a four-star prospect and the No. 91 rated recruit in the 2023 class, according to the 247Sports.com composite. Gardner was a former St. John's commit. He's 6-foot-7 and weighs 210 pounds.
With Gardner in the fold, USC's 2023 recruiting class is finalized. It features combo guard Bronny James, point guard Isaiah Collier, the No. 1 ranked recruit in the country, and power forward Arrinten Page.
The eight other scholarship players on USC's roster are point guard Boogie Ellis, guard Kobe Johnson, guard Oziyah Sellers, forward DJ Rodman, forward Kijani Wright, forward Harrison Hornery, center Joshua Morgan and center Vincent Iwuchukwu.
Expectations will be high for the Trojans this winter. USC heads into the season as one of the premier teams in the Pac-12 and Andy Enfield's squad will likely be ranked in the Top 25 nationally to start the year. CBS Sports Analyst Jon Rothstein currently has USC as the No. 10 team in the country in his preseason rankings.
