USC Men's Basketball: Trojans Celebrate Key Element of Greek Culture While In Athens
Your USC men's basketball team has truly been making the most of their international trip and as Trojans fans were able to tune in to their performances against some tough squads on NBA TV, their social media teams have ensured that we have plenty of content to look forward to off of the court as well.
USC's first three games on their international trip, which all ended in victories, took place in Greece and our favorite players have been able to unwind when they aren't playing and they've made sure to enjoy some classic cultural dishes as well.
Gyros are among the most popular Greek food items and they consist of different slices of meat along with potatoes, onions, vegetables and other toppings all wrapped up in a heated pita bread.
Therefore, even though our guys certainly enjoyed digging into some gyros... they didn't all necessarily know how to pronounce the word. Check out the fun video that USC Hoops' social media experts put together down below where the players gave it their best shot.
This was one of the funniest videos that we've seen of the team all summer long and it goes to show how they've been able to bond on this special trip. Even though we want to see them continue winning as many games as possible during this stretch, this trip is also meant for chemistry building purposes.
At the end of the day, a simple thing like a gyro could lead to some special bonds and lifelong memories for the guys!
