USC Women's Basketball: JuJu Watkins Wins Yet Another Early-Season Accolade

The Trojans' star freshman continues to kill the game.

After missing out on the honor for the first time all year last week, 6'2" USC Women of Troy superstar freshman wing JuJu Watkins has earned her sixth Pac-12 Freshman of the Week for her play, per USC's official Twitter/X account:

In her lone game of the week, a 93-44 blowout of the Cal State Fullerton Titans last Monday, December 18th, Watkins scored 23 points on 7-of-18 field goal shooting (3-of-7 from long range) and 6-of-6 foul line shooting, grabbed six rebounds, dished out six dimes (albeit against a shaky five turnovers), blocked three shots and swiped two steals.

Watkins is one of the most prolific scorers in the nation this year. Her play has propelled the team to an undefeated (10-0 thus far this season, all in non-conference play thus far) record.

Her 26.8 points per game rank second in the nation. She's also averaging 6.9 boards, and 3.9 dimes (149th in the country), while connecting on 49.4% of her field goals (107th in the land).

Watkins and the Trojans' next game is a doozy. USC, the sixth-ranked club in the country according to The Associated Press' latest poll, will square off against the second-ranked UCLA Bruins (11-0) on Saturday, December 30th.
