The USC Trojans are set to start conference play tomorrow, as they face off against their crosstown rivals, the UCLA Bruins.

The Bruins went undefeated in non-conference play, securing an undefeated 11-0 record. They are currently ranked #2 in the nation. The Trojans are not far behind, as they are ranked #6.

They saw their own undefeated non-conference run with a perfect 10-0. A huge reason why the Trojans have seen so much success has everything to do with superstar freshman guard, Juju Watkins.

Watkins has been making her presence felt the entire season so far, earning freshman of the week honors a staggering five times. She is also considered to be a top 5 player in college, per rankings done by ESPN.

Watkins currently has a 26.8 PPG average, which is second in the nation to #1 ranked Caitlyn Clark.

On top of her proclivity to scoring, Watkins also has 6.9 RPG and 3.9 APG. She has been one of the most dynamic players in the sport and has brought along a ton of national attention. The highly anticipated showdown between the Trojans and Bruins has already sold out.

It will be interesting to see if the Bruins can contain the high-level play that Watkins provides. Her ranking is well-earned, and we imagine she will be an integral part of the Trojans' plans to climb the NCAAW rankings.

The team can start that journey on Saturday, if and when they take down the Bruins.
