USC Women's Basketball: JuJu Watkins Ends Regular Season With Historic FOTW Number
USC freshman guard JuJu Watkins is in league her own. She was dominant all season long, and it was no different in the last week of the regular season.
Watkins finished the season grabbing her 14th Pac-12 Freshman of the Week award, adding to her conference record.
What better way to end the regular season than to finish with the award that should be named after you come due time? JuJu was again spectacular before the Pac-12 tournament, which kicks off this week.
Watkins led the Trojans to a 2-0 record, eating the two Arizona schools to lead them to a No. 2 seed in the upcoming tournament. She scored 20 points against Arizona and 26 points against Arizona State. In the double OT win over Arizona, she added eight rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block. Against Arizona State, she recorded 12 boards, three assists, one steal, and one block.
The focus is now on the Pac-2 tournament to secure their spot in the big dance. All eyes will be on Watkins and how she performs on the biggest stage. There's no doubt in our mind she'll continue to dominate.
