USC Women's Basketball: Trojans Should Lean on Defense to Take Down Colorado
The USC women's basketball team is currently in the midst of one of the most successful seasons in program history. They are the 7th-ranked team in the country, and are led by a dominant offensive force in JuJu Watkins.
The Trojans hold a record of 21-4 but have a tough test ahead of them tonight against the 11th-ranked Colorado Buffalos. A win over Colorado would make another statement that this Trojans team is for real, but it won't be easy.
One way for the Trojans to help ensure a victory is by putting an emphasis on their defense. USC holds an undefeated record when they hold opponents under 60 points this season.
"USC is 14-0 this season when scoring 70 or more points and 12-0 when holding opponents under 60."

The Trojans are a strong rebounding team as well, holding a 14-0 record when outrebounding opponents this year. They use their size to their advantage, and it has shown well in the game results.
USC is coming off a massive win over Oregon State over the weekend, giving them major confidence heading into this game. They are riding high right now, and they'd love nothing more than to have it continue here.
Colorado is a very strong team themselves, so it'll take a total team effort. But USC has shown the ability to rise to the occasion, giving them hope for another win.
