USC Football: Fans Sound Off On Caleb Williams' Disastrous Performance

His worst game of 2023 by FAR.

USC Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams looked anything but the reigning Heisman winner after USC's crushing 48-20 loss to Notre Dame on Saturday night. 

The Fighting Irish constantly generated pressure against USC's porous offensive line for six sacks and three picks on the evening. 

USC's bid at an undefeated quickly vanished thanks to three-first half interceptions from Williams causing fans across social media to tear the performance to shreds. 

One fan mocked Williams and compared his poor showing to another NFL quarterback who seems to disappear in the biggest games.

Another fan had a hilarious meme concerning the idea that Williams didn't show up for prime time as Colorado head coach Deion Sanders would say.

Williams certainly didn't help his repeat Heisman as one fan put it simply for the Internet to see. 

“You still gonna be in the Heisman race after Notre Dame beat USC?”

Though his offensive line didn't help him much throughout the evening, Williams' lack of playmaking ability caused one fan to compare his performance to a hilarious video. 

Williams' performance didn't just deter college voters from his repeat Heisman campaign, but one fan insinuated that NFL teams may not be so sure on taking the presumed high draft pick first overall anymore.

Nerves could have been a factor across the board and one fan suggested that it was USC's coaching staff alongside Williams to blame for the blowout.

The Trojans' undefeated season came crashing down this weekend after Notre Dame thoroughly bullied their long-time rival all night long. 

At all three levels, but especially defensively, the Fighting Irish certainly lived up to their name while the Trojans' war horse never got unleashed. 

28 points wound up being the margin for the embarrassing loss and critics who said that USC's sloppy recent play would cost them rings true. 

Against the first true contender they've had all season, the Men of Troy and their leading man failed to get the job done and definitely won't be in next week's AP Top 10.
