USC Football: Trojans Could Catch Huge Injury Break Next Week

USC is facing a banged-up ASU this week.

During the team's bye week, your USC Trojans football club was paying attention to what was happening in Tempe Saturday night as the Trojans prepared for their own week four matchup against ASU.

After checking out the game, the Trojans are going to catch a break as the Sun Devils quarterback room is decimated with injuries.

ASU could potentially be sending out its fourth-string quarterback to face the 5th-ranked team in the nation.

Entering its game against Fresno State on Saturday, ASU announced that it would be without its QB1, Jaden Rashada, as he has dealt with an undisclosed injury and did not practice all week, per Scott Wolf of InsideUSC

The Sun Devils announced that the game against Fresno would be a quarterback by committee with second and third-string quarterbacks Trenton Bourguet and Drew Pyne splitting the series.

That plan backfired for ASU as Bourguet was injured in the first quarter of the game and Pyne eventually left the game later with his injury.

Now without its top three quarterbacks, ASU will most likely use fourth-string Jacob Conover for this Saturday's game.

In a couple of series of work, Conover went 6/16 with 89 yards and two picks.

Although they still have to play the game, USC will not be getting a look at the Sun Devils' best and are coming in as heavy favorites. Currently, the Trojans are favored by 34.5 points.

In the team's first three games, the USC defense has held its own as they have only given up 52 points. In the past two games, they have only given up 24 points.

The defense should have nay big game as the Sun Devils will most likely not have much of a passing attack throughout the game on Saturday.
