The USC 2024 recruiting class is on a downward spiral at the moment, but that could all change these next couple of months.

The Trojans are in on many players across the country, including four-star linebacker from Virginia, Chris Cole. Cole is the number six linebacker in his class and has narrowed his school options to six, with USC being one of them.

Hopefully, they can remain in the running till the end, and they'll have a chance to if they impress during the official visit that will take place on September 2nd.

Cole had some great things to say about the program and said how they view him as a vital player in the program.

“They see me as a priority piece of the puzzle,” said Cole.

“USC has a great program,” said Cole.

“Head Coach Lincoln Riley, defensive coordinator (Alex) Grinch, and linebacker coach (Brian) Odom are building something special.”

The Trojans could do themselves a favor if the defense improves, and it should for this upcoming season. The defense will be essential for how far the Trojans want to go and could intrigue Cole even more.

The USC football program speaks for itself, but so does Los Angeles, as the school is in the heart of the city with the world at the palm of your hand.

Cole recognizes and acknowledges that, but he is also focused on the academic side of things.

“LA is a great city with a lot of opportunities,” said Cole.

“Academics are important to me and I see USC as an elite institution when it comes to academics and the football program.”

Will Los Angeles and the improved defense be enough to persuade Cole? We could find out soon enough.
