USC Football: Caleb Williams Has Already Begun NFL Training

The potential number-one pick is wasting no time.

USC star quarterback and reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams is heading to the NFL Draft.

On Monday, Williams declared for the draft on the final day that underclassmen players are allowed to declare. It was no surprise that Caleb, a junior, entered the draft, as he is projected to be the number one pick, if not one of the top picks in 2024.

The fact that he has already begun his pre-draft training may or may not come as a surprise. Watch the potential number-one pick start his journey to the pro level, via this footage from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Williams can be seen doing some throwing drills and looking sharp in the process.

The former Heisman winner is seen working with former NFL and college offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello. Scangarello was the OC for Kentukcy in 2022 and was last an OC in the NFL for the Denver Broncos. Outside of that, he's been a quarterbacks coach, offensive assistant, and assistant head coach for multiple programs and NFL teams.

It seems like Scangarello is leading the charge in Williams' training leading up to the draft, and hopefully, they will do some great work together to help propel Caleb to the number one pick. The 21-year-old QB has all the tools to become the top pick in the NFL. The 2023 season may not have been the best for USC, but individually speaking for Williams, he was arguably better this past season than in his Heisman season.

Don't overthink these NFL teams, aka the Chicago Bears. Willaims is the number one pick; he's shown it for the past two years and will continue up until the draft.
