USC Football: Caleb Williams Unafraid Of Expectations As Presumed Top Pick In NFL Draft
There's a strong chance that USC football quarterback Caleb Williams will become the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, whether that means the Chicago Bears take him or another team trades up to pick.
Assuming he does get selected first overall, or anywhere in the top five, Williams will have enormous expectations placed on him. As a top-five pick, Williams will be expected to turn a franchise around into winners. This is no easy task, especially if the team who picks him lacks talent or a strong supporting cast.
However, Williams is not scared of the bright lights ahead of him. When asked about playing for the Bears, where Michael Jordan once played, Williams embraced that as his "standard."
“I’d say anywhere I go, that is my standard. That is what I play for as you all saw."

He also clarified his focus will remain on winning, even as he continues to take on greater fame entering the NFL.
“I don’t play for fame. I don’t play for money. I don’t play for jewels and things like that. I want to go out there and win as many games as possible. Be the best that I can...I think I can reach certain points like that.”

If he continues to play anything like he did as one of the best players in college football and a Heisman Trophy winner, Williams should have no problems living up to these goals. It may take some time to build a team around him, but, as an incoming top pick, he has all the capabilities to succeed.
