USC Football: National Recruiter Sees Potential for Julian Lewis' 2025 Reclassification

The 2026 class for the USC Trojans couldn't have gotten off to a better start. Last week, the Trojans made a big splash, and they were able to get top 2026 QB Julian Lewis to commit to Southern California.
The kid from Carrollton, Georgia, is only a sophomore in high school, but he already had a ton of schools on his tail. Fortunately for USC, he chose them, and a ton of it had to do with head coach Lincoln Riley.
Lewis is primed to be the next great USC Trojan QB, and fans will fall in love with his game once that comes around, which could be in 2025.
The buzz around Lewis now is if he could reclassify for the 2025 class, and many believe he will with his early commitment, especially Rivals national recruiting director Adam Gorney.
"I don't think that coming in and vying for that starting job is like as important to kids as maybe it once was. He is going to be sitting behind Malachi Nelson. Miller Moss is going to compete for a job. ... Lincoln Riley and that offense, I think how he's kind of constructed his quarterback room, that's very appealing to Julian Lewis. So, yes, I think he definitely would have the skill set and maturity to come in a year early and compete right away."

The high school sophomore is already wise beyond his years, and he could only get better under Riley. They don't call Riley, "the quarterback whisper," for nothing, and he is primed to do the same with Lewis.
If the current true freshman QB Malachi Nelson is willing to compete for the job, the 2025 QB battle will be a must-see.
The challenge now is to try and retain Lewis to keep him in cardinal red and gold.
