USC Football News: Pac-12 Experts Predict Another Heisman-Type Season From Caleb Williams
The college football world will have all their eyes on the University of Southern California for the 2023 season. After exceeding many experts' and pundits expectations in 2022, everyone will now have their radar on the Trojans this upcoming season, and deservedly so.
The Trojans are primed to be even better this upcoming season, thanks to the recruiting and transfer prowess of Lincoln Riley and his star and Hesiman-winning quarterback Caleb Williams.
Williams had one of the most dominant Heisman-winning seasons of recent memory, leading the Trojans to an 11-3 record, going 8-1 in conference play and throwing for 42 touchdowns, and had a rating of 168.5. Things were clicking for Caleb, and the choice for the Heisman was as clear as day.
Now, he will look to finish the job in 2023 and lead USC to their first-ever College Football Playoff appearance since it started in 2014. However, while the team aspect is always the number one goal, others are looking at Caleb from an individual aspect and believe he can be the second player ever to win back-to-back Heismans.
After bringing in a total of 16 four- or-five star transfers the previous two off-seasons under Riley, USC will win its second conference title in the last 15 years. Then the Trojans will say sayonara to the Pac-12. Williams will build off an impressive 2022 campaign, in which he accounted for 52 TDs and threw just 5 INTs, to win the Heisman Trophy this year.

The columnist for the Washington Huskies is on the same boat and has Williams bringing home some more hardware to Southern California.
The Pac-12 is going to showcase a number of potential All-American quarterbacks, but Williams emerges from the pack to win the Heisman Trophy for the second-straight season. He outduels Penix as the Trojans beat the Huskies both during the regular season and also in the Pac-12 Championship Game. USC makes the final four but loses its semifinal game to keep the Pac-12 away from the College Football Playoff Championship Game for the ninth season in a row.

All signs point to Williams going back-to-back, but people close to the University and fans know that's not his goal. He even addressed it in his acceptance speech that he much rather have what the other finalist have, a shot a winning the national championship.
It's all about winning at the highest level for Willaims, and this season is as good as any to get the job done.
Teams within the Pac-12 will be at USC's heads game in and game out, just the way ti should be when it comes to SC football. They're back, and they'll prove it on the gridiron.
