Your USC Trojans were rolling in the month of June in the recruiting aspect of things. They were able to acquire a ton of players to their liking, which led to a high ranking for recruiting in the class of 2024.

However, you can't have them all, which was the case early today. Four-star defensive back from Mater Dei High School Zabien Brown chose to head to the SEC and join the Alabama Crimson Tide after his senior season in 2024.

Brown had Ohio State and the Trojans on his list and made the choice early today, according to On3's own Hayes Fawcett.

Looking at this glass half full, at least Brown didn't choose SC's future Big 10 counterpart, Ohio State. Adding Brown would have been a huge pickup for the Trojans, as they are trying to bolster their defense for years to come.

Although it is a tough one, the Trojans will be fine and still have a tremendous 2024 class at their disposal. It's clear the incoming senior wanted to be a part of a school filled with rich history, and he got that; unfortunately, not with USC.

We wish Brown the best in his senior year and his time in Alabama.
