USC Football: Trojans Land New Defensive Coach From NDSU
The USC Trojans were the Achilles' heel for the past two seasons, and they vowed things would change going forward.
Actions speak louder than words, and the program is showing us they are standing by their word. They first hired D'Anton Lynn from UCLA, and now they are adding a respected head coach to the staff.
The USC Trojans hired former North Dakota State head coach Matt Entz as the new linebackers coach.
Entz will also serve as the associate head coach for the defense.
Entz announced he was leaving earlier today but will continue to coach the Bison through the FCS playoffs. Their next game is scheduled for next week against Montana.
The 51-year-old led the Bisons to a 60-10 record as head coach from 2019-2023. Prior to becoming the head coach, he started as a defensive coordinator with the program.
Entz will join D'Anton Lynn's staff, as both coaches will have a ton of work to do to improve the Trojans' defense. Welcome to Southern California, Matt! We can't wait to get things started.
