Despite the USC Trojans remaining undefeated entering the highly anticipated showdown this weekend with the upstart Colorado Buffalos, the Buffalos loss could have people less excited. Many hoped that both teams would come in undefeated, but Colorado got demolished over the weekend.

However, it seems that even with this, the TV networks are still hyping this game up. After all, it is the Trojans, and they get to face off against head coach Deion Sanders on the road.

“Fox did not let Colorado’s lopsided loss keep it from running promos later in the day calling next week’s USC game “the biggest game of the year.” Not sure about that, but it will certainly be a spectacle. It will be Heisman winner Caleb Williams’ most visible game to date. And CU’s offense may rebound fairly quickly, because the Trojans’ defense is still a bit of a hot mess.”

Per Stewart Mandel of The Athletic

When a team gets destroyed like the Buffalos did this past weekend against the Oregon Ducks, they normally respond well. Pride becomes a factor, so the Trojans must ensure they stay settled the entire game.

The Trojans defense seemed to show some cracks over the weekend against Arizona State, so that will be something to watch for. If they can't stop the Buffalos in this game, things could get very tight for USC early on.

They can't come into the game and take the Buffalos for granted. USC should enter this game with the mindset that Colorado is still undefeated and must knock off this team. If they come in focused, they should be able to take care of Colorado, even with this game being on the road.

The Ducks exposed a lot about the Buffalos last week, so watch for USC to heavily watch how they took a part Colorado. We should be in for an entertaining matchup this weekend, and it all starts at 9 a.m. PT this Saturday morning.
