Freshman Zachariah Branch will miss today's game, as he is seen not dressed during warmups.
Branch was seen catching passes a little over 90 minutes before kickoff, but all signs now show that he will sit this one out.
The Trojans will surely miss the explosiveness he provides on offense, primarily on special teams. Branch didn't waste any time making a name for himself at the college level with his extraordinary display on special teams, specifically punt returns.
It won't be easy for the Trojans on the road, and it might've gotten a lot more difficult without their most dynamic player. Hopefully, it doesn't hurt the Trojans too much, but that may be a lot to ask for.
USC insider Chris Treviño said that Michael Jackson III and Dorian Singer will take the punt return duties, which will be something to watch for.
