USC Trojans Football: Star Wide Receiver Lands A Spicy NIL Deal
Pass the chips.
A week ago, USC wide receiver Tahj Washington, in partnership with La Victoria, dropped a promotional video on his Instagram of him giving out salsa to willing dance partners on USC's campus.
He followed that up today with a video officially announcing his partnership with La Victoria. Enter "Salsa Time". Every time Washington dances Salsa after a big play on the field, La Victoria will donate 16 pounds of food and a La Victoria care package to the Trojan Food Pantry.
From the Trojan Food Pantry's website:
The Trojan Food Pantry offers fresh food, non-perishable items, toiletries, and academic supplies for currently enrolled USC students. The Trojan Food Pantry addresses food insecurity on campus and provides much needed temporary relief to those experiencing food emergencies.
This move is in line with a trend that Texas quarterback Arch Manning jumped on as well, leveraging one's name, image, and likeness for charitable deployment. The NIL deal also comes as Washington is turning heads of NFL scouts with what will likely end up being his most statistically productive season in college. He has amassed over 600 yards thus far and has emerged as the favorite target of quarterback Caleb Williams.
On3 has Washington's NIL valuation currently set at just under $300k. La Victoria is an American food company founded in Los Angeles in 1917 that produced the first jarred salsa in the United States
