USC football lands a huge transfer portal commitment
USC football received a commitment from transfer offensive lineman Emmanuel Pregnon on Wednesday.
Pregnon played the last three seasons at the University of Wyoming. He is ranked by The Athletic as the No. 3 player in the portal this window after starting all 11 games he played in at right guard for the Cowboys last year. Pregnon allowed only two sacks in those games.
With former USC offensive lineman Courtland Ford entering the transfer portal and Florida transfer Ethan White no longer enrolling at USC after committing in January, the Trojans lacked offensive line depth and Pregnon will help fill the void.
Prior to bringing in Pregnon, USC's projected starting offensive line unit for the fall looked like this: Florida transfer Michael Tarquin at left tackle, Gino Quinones at left guard, Justin Dedich at center, Washington State transfer Jarrett Kingston at right guard and Jonah Monheim at right tackle.
The addition of Pregnon could lead to Kingston moving to left guard next season, the position he played for Washington State two years ago, with Pregnon taking over at right guard.
USC's No. 2 ranked transfer portal class now has 13 members. Here's who else has transferred in this offseason.
4-star defensive lineman Bear Alexander (Georgia)
4-star running back MarShawn Lloyd (South Carolina)
4-star cornerback Christian Roland-Wallace (Arizona)
