USC football offers Wyoming offensive lineman transfer Emmanuel Pregnon

The Trojans staff continues to seek out roster upgrades in the transfer portal

USC continues to seek out roster upgrades in the transfer portal.

The Trojans staff is already recruiting Houston offensive lineman transfer Cam'Ron Johnson and Georgia defensive lineman transfer Bear Alexander, and now they've officially entered into the Emmanuel Pregnon sweepstakes as well. Pregnon, an offensive lineman who's played the last three seasons at the University of Wyoming, tweeted out on Wednesday evening that he'd received a scholarship offer from USC.

Pregnon is ranked by The Athletic as the No. 3 player in the portal this window (Alexander is ranked No. 1 and Johnson No. 5). The Wyoming transfer started all 11 games he played in at right guard for the Cowboys last season allowing only two sacks.

With former USC offensive lineman Courtland Ford entering the transfer portal last week and Florida transfer Ethan White no longer enrolling at USC after committing in January, the Trojans suddenly lack depth up front.

As things currently stand, USC's projected starting offensive line unit for the fall looks like this: Florida transfer Michael Tarquin at left tackle, Gino Quinones at left guard, Justin Dedich at center, Washington State transfer Jarrett Kingston at right guard and Jonah Monheim at right tackle.

A commitment from Pregnon could lead to Kingston moving to left guard next season, the position he played for Washington State two years ago. A commitment from Johnson would likely lead to a competition with Quinones for the starting left guard job. If both players sign, the projected starting unit could look much different. Tarquin can play at either tackle spot, Kingston has experience at left tackle in addition to left guard and Dedich and Quinones lined up at both guards spots last season for the Trojans.

Let's see what USC's o-line room looks like when the transfer portal closes on April 30 and the dust settles...
