USC football receives commitment from 3-star offensive lineman
USC football added another member to its 2024 recruiting class. Cherry Creek (Englewood, Colo.) three-star offensive lineman Hayden Treter committed to USC on Sunday morning, he announced on social media.
Treter is the No. 98 ranked tackle in the country, per 247Sports.com. He stands at 6-foot-6 and weighs 300 pounds. Treter's commitment comes on the heels of his official visit. USC hosted 12 prospects this weekend and will hope Treter's pledge isn't the only one from the group.
Treter is a candidate to rise in the recruiting rankings following the spring and summer evaluation periods. Oregon and Tennessee were two of the other schools to offer Treter a scholarship.
USC now has four committed players in the class of 2024. Treter joins Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) wideout Xavier Jordan, Lakeridge (Lake Oswego, Ore.) tight end Joey Olsen and McKinney (Texas) running back Bryan Jackson. Jordan and Olsen are four-star prospects. Jackson is a three-star prospect.
Last recruiting cycle, USC brought in five offensive lineman. Line coach Josh Henson is expected to add at least one more o-line prospect in the 2024 class to continue the push to get younger at the position following Treter's commitment.
USC FOOTBALL'S 2023 PROJECTED STARTING OFFENSIVE LINE
LT: Michael Tarquin (R-Jr.)
LG: Emmanuel Pregnon (R-Jr.)
C: Justin Dedich (R-Sr.)
RG: Jarrett Kingston (R-Sr.)
RT: Jonah Monheim (R-Jr.)
USC will lose Dedich, Kingston and likely Monheim after the 2023 season, so building up a young core of offensive linemen is a must.
