USC football: Trojans predicted to land 4-star running back
Following the commitment of Texas running back Bryan Jackson, the USC football staff is looking to add one more running back to its 2024 recruiting class.
Last week, 247Sports.com's Steve Wiltfong discussed how USC and Oklahoma were in the best position to land four-star Texas running back Taylor Tatum.
But on Friday, On3.com's Sam Spiegelman logged a prediction that a different running back from Texas will commit to USC, four-star Decatur (Texas) tailback Nate Palmer.
Palmer is rated as the No. 424 prospect nationally, per the 247Sports.com composite, and the No. 36 running back. He's 5-foot-11 and weighs 180 pounds.
It will be interesting to see which RB ends up picking the Trojans. Tatum is ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 42 prospect nationally. Jason Brown, a four-star running back from Seattle, is another name that's been linked to USC. Brown is rated as the No. 62 prospect nationally and the No. 4 running back, per the 247Sports.com composite.
USC MAKES MAJOR IMPRESSION ON FOUR-STAR SAFETY
USC hosted four 2024 prospects on official visits beginning May 20. Out of the group, four-star Judson (Converse, Texas) safety Myles Davis seemed to have left LA feeling the best about the Trojans.
Davis told 247Sports.com's Steve Wiltfong after his visit: “USC is in serious consideration for being my home. I’m considering moving some visits up so I can see how they are and make my decision this coming month, especially with them taking two safeties."
Davis stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 185 pounds. The 247Sports composite ranks him as the No. 338 player nationally and the No. 32 safety prospect.
