With Bear Alexander addition, USC moves up to No. 2 ranked transfer portal class nationally

The Trojans are likely to add more players before the portal window closes on April 30 as well

Following USC football's spring game, Lincoln Riley discussed how this year's group of players reminds him of some of the great teams he's coached in the past. 

"I told the team after that was a very fitting end to our spring because I would say that is what our spring has looked like in terms of being competitive and down to the wire," he said. "Most days have been like that. A lot of my excitement comes from in the past, looking back on the better teams that I've had a chance to be a part of, that's what it was like the majority of the time."

A big reason why expectations are so high heading into the fall is because of the elite transfer class the USC football staff has put together in the offseason. 

Following the addition of former Georgia defensive lineman Bear Alexander on Sunday, USC moved up to the second spot in the 247Sports.com transfer recruiting rankings. The lone team ahead of USC is Colorado and the Buffalos have added 15 more transfers.

Here's USC's full 12 player class as of April 25. The Trojans are likely to add more players before the portal window closes on April 30 as well. USC is currently recruiting players on the offensive line and at cornerback.
