USC Basketball star Bronny James hasn't played this season after suffering a cardiac arrest incident in practice in July of this year.

James has been progressing, and his father, LeBron James, told reporters that he would provide an update on his son later this month after a check-up.

While we don't know if the younger James is going to play for the Trojans this season or not, he was out on the Galen Center getting shots up before Tuesday's game against UC Irvine. Here's a look at the video, per Connor Morrissette on Twitter:

Obviously there's no reason to speculate on anything, but it is nice to see Bronny back on the court and taking shots just months after the scary incident during USC's practice.

Fans everywhere would love to see him play this season, but of course, nothing is more important than his health.

The Trojans are off to a strong start this season, beating Kansas State and CSU Bakersfield in dominant fashion. They'd love to add Bronny to their stellar backcourt of Isaiah Collier, Boogie Ellis and Kobe Johnson.

Tip-off for Tuesday's game is 8:00 p.m. PT. For more information on the game, click here.
