Kyle Whittingham believes 2023 is Utah's 'most talented team' ever

Utah could be poised for a massive season in 2023
In this story:

Believe it or not there actually will be football being played in 2023.

Something that seems like an obscure statement due to all of the realignment discussions over the past few months. However, while many people are focusing on the demise of the Pac-12, not nearly enough are discussing the magical season on the field that awaits.

There are six teams that have a chance to win the conference title in what will end up being one of the conference's best years of ball. One of those aforementioned six teams is the two-time reigning champs, the Utah Utes.

Even with all of their questions surrounding the quarterback position thanks to Cam Rising's injury which could keep him out early in the season and the recent injury to his backup Brandon Rose, the Utes are still a force to be reckoned with. They came in as the No. 14 team in the preseason coaches poll, and according to head coach Kyle Whittingham on a recent podcast appearance with PFF, is the most talented team ever.

To put into perspective just how impressive of a statement this is, Whittingham has been the head coach at Utah since 2005 and was on the staff dating all the way back to 1994.

Utah is looking to win their third Pac-12 title and also get over the hump that has prevented them from making it to the College Football Playoff. The Utes are 34-13 over the past four years and have made two Rose Bowl appearances.
