In this story:

Following the news that Colorado is headed to the Big 12 after frustrations boiled over from not being given numbers for the conference's looming media rights deal, the Pac-12 is now in survival mode.

There are more reports about who could be the next program to leave, with Utah being one of the names mentioned, than there are solutions for the Pac-12. With the world turning their attention to the Pac-12 to see what is next for them, the conference released a statement that has since drawn much criticism.

The main reason that criticism of the conference has been amplified is of course the fact that they again plan on focusing on the media rights deal first, and expanding second. Most analysts across college football view expansion as the bigger priority as it seems to make more sense to get the numbers back up from nine to 12 or even 14.

The Pac-12 moving at their own pace has been a constant all year, but whether it's worked out for them is a different story.
