Utah Lands UTEP EDGE Transfer Kanious Vaughn
The Utah Utes are looking to lean more on the transfer portal for plug-and-play guys, and up until Friday evening had four transfers in their class.
Friday night, they gained a much-needed commitment from UTEP EDGE Kanious Vaughn, who took to Instagram to announce that he was a Ute.
A bit undersized at 6-foot-2, 223 pounds, Vaughn spent this past season season at UTEP where he racked up 19 tackles, six sacks, and two forced fumbles. Prior to his time in El Paso, he started his college career at Saddleback College (CA). There, he won Southern League defensive MVP as a freshman in 2022, thanks to his 15 tackles for loss and 11 sacks.

Vaughn will have two seasons of eligibility remaining for the Utes. He joins what is now a five-man transfer class headlined by Idaho running back transfer Anthony Woods, and UCLA tight end Carsen Ryan.
The more pass rushers the better for Utah, as Jonah Elliss recently declared for the NFL Draft.
