Utah Offers Auburn WR Transfer Ja'Varrius Johnson

The Utah Utes are still looking to bolster their wide receiver group in the transfer portal
In this story:

The Utah Utes have already added one pass catcher from the transfer portal in UCLA tight end Carsen Ryan, but they are still in the market to bolster their receivers.

They missed out on Josh Kelly (Texas Tech) and Deion Burks (Oklahoma), but are among the many teams pursuing Tulane transfer Chris Brazzell. On top of going after the giant pass catcher from Tulane, they have also set their sights on Auburn transfer Ja'Varrius Johnson who revealed that they offered him on Twitter.

The senior wideout led the team in yards (347) and touchdowns (3) this season. In 35 total games as a Tiger, Johnson totaled 64 catches for 1,114 yards and eight touchdowns.

If the Utes were to land Johnson, he'd be their fourth transfer commitment thus far and second on the offensive side of the ball. Utah lost two productive receivers in Devaughn Vele (NFL) and Mikey Matthews (Portal), and quite frankly didn't have enough consistency from the rest of the unit.

There is also no official decision from star tight end Brant Kuithe, but the more weapons for Cam Rising to throw to, the better.
