Virginia extended a scholarship offer to 2025 four-star guard Acaden Lewis from Washington, D.C., Lewis announced on Twitter on Wednesday night.

A 6'3" guard out of Sidwell Friends High School in D.C., Lewis is rated a four-star prospect by ESPN, Rivals, and 247Sports, which also ranks him as the No. 94 overall recruit in the class of 2025, the No. 13 combo guard in the country, and the No. 3 prospect from Washington, D.C.

UVA's recruitment of Lewis began last year when he was just beginning his sophomore year of high school, as Lewis took an unofficial visit to Virginia back in November. A little over eight months later, the Cavaliers extended a scholarship offer and Lewis is now officially on the board as a recruiting target for Virginia in the class of 2025.

In addition to UVA, Lewis has picked up offers from more than a dozen schools, including Oregon, Georgetown, Providence, St. John's, Penn State, Nebraska, George Mason, Brown, and others.

Lewis has established himself as one of the top scoring guards in the class of 2025, but has also begun to develop into an effective facilitator. That progress showed itself most clearly on the EYBL circuit back on June 25th, when he scored or assisted on 43 of his team's 51 points. Lewis can light it up from deep with his lefty jumper, has a smooth handle on the basketball, and is very crafty on dribble drives to get to his spot. Even with more than two years remaining before he gets to college, Lewis already posses a refined offensive game and could very well become one of the top prospects in the class of 2025 when it's all said and done.

In an interview with Jake Weingarten of Stock Risers earlier this month, Lewis had this to say about Virginia: “They started recruiting me at the beginning of my sophomore year. I went on an unofficial visit and liked it. I’ve built a relationship with Coach Williford and they text and call me routinely so they are definitely in the mix.”

Virginia has now offered 11 players in the recruiting class of 2025:
