Washington Offers 2024 Edge Rusher Noah Carter

The Huskies are pushing hard for defensive line reinforcements in the class of 2024
In this story:

Washington's coaching staff has dipped its toe into the well of Arizona edge rushers yet again. After offering and setting up official visits with three-stars Keona Wilhite and Deshawn Warner in recent weeks, Centennial High School's Noah Carter has also received a Husky offer.

Ranked as the 573rd overall player in the country, Carter holds offers from Texas, Louisville, and Iowa State among others. He also set up an official visit with Louisville scheduled for June 16-18 and Washington's coaching staff could be looking to set up a visit with him rather quickly.

Washington is already expecting a lot of edge rushers to visit over the month of June, which seems to show that the coaching staff is going to take at least two or three players at the position. The Huskies have already confirmed official visits with Wilhite, Warner, Ratumana Bulabalavu, Kash Dillon, and Dominic Kirks.

Carter is a very interesting player to watch on film. Although he's being recruited to play on the edge at the college level, his highlight film is split about 50/50 between edge rusher and wide receiver.

As a receiver, he does a great job displaying body control and athleticism with his 6-3, 220-pound frame. On the edge, Carter has excellent eyes and sees a lot of plays developing, rarely biting on fakes. He also has an impressive first step which allows him to get around offensive tackles with ease.

The next step in his development will be working on a deeper arsenal of pass rush moves. Carter has great bend in his hips which is going to help him succeed in college, but if he's able to put on 20-25 pounds of muscle while learning how to hand fight, he's going to be a real threat on the edge.

I've followed the Huskies for my entire life, and to be in a position where I get to cover them full-time is nothing short of an honor. After graduating from Lasell University in 2019, I moved to Seattle to pursue my dream of working in sports media. While writing for the Husky Haul, I also covered local sports for the Everett Daily Herald before the COVID-19 pandemic. After being hired by Realdawg.com in February of 2021, I also transitioned into doing a lot of entertainment writing, as I work on a variety of magazines as a contributing writer for Centennial Media, and have also contributed to Emmy Magazine, as well as Walt Disney Television Studios.
