What the ESPN BPI Says About WVU at Oklahoma

Can the Mountaineers pull out a win on the road?

West Virginia pulled out a big win over No. 25 Texas on Saturday and are looking to pick up another victory over a ranked opponent when they travel to Norman to square off with No. 15 Oklahoma.

According to the ESPN BPI, the Mountaineers have just a 6.4% chance to win tonight's game while the Sooners have a 93.6% chance.

Although WVU has had its fair share of struggles this season, they've shown flashes of promise. Unfortunately, every time it feels like things are about to turn something happens. New starting center Pat Suemnick has come down with an illness and may not be available for tonight's game. He will be re-evaluated today in Norman by team trainers.

If Suemnick is out, it puts a lot of pressure on Akok Akok to fill in and produce quality minutes. The deeper issue here is the depth in the frontcourt. Suemnick was already playing out of position due to the absence of Jesse Edwards and the minutes restriction of Akok. I doubt Josh Eilert will want to play Akok for 25+ minutes, so he will have no choice but to turn to a really small lineup when he's on the bench.

As for Oklahoma, they'll enter this game with a ton of motivation having dropped two straight on the road to TCU and Kansas.
