Spread & Over/Under Predictions for WVU vs. UCF

Can the Mountaineers cover the spread?

Each game day, we will release an article on our thoughts on the spread and the over/under of West Virginia games. The star ratings next to the play describe the overall confidence in that particular play.

Star ratings:

1 Star - Not very confident

2 Star - A little confident

3 Star - Fairly confident

4 Star - Very confident

5 Star - Should be a lock to happen

Spread: UCF -3.5

1-star play on West Virginia covering (+3.5): I'll admit, I have absolutely zero interest in playing this side in this game. UCF has won one game on the road this season and has lost five of its last six since taking down the Mountaineers. I can't the lay points. West Virginia looks like a team that's packed it in for the year, but I'll roll the dice with them here since they're at home and unlike the first matchup with the Knights, they'll have Jesse Edwards at their disposal.

Over/Under: 143.5

2-star play on the over: I can't really trust that WVU will put the ball through the hoop consistently, but they do a pretty good job of getting to the foul line on a regular basis. I can trust that the defense will be suspect and UCF will take full advantage of scoring in transition to help us get up and over the number. The over has cashed in four of the last five for UCF and six of the last seven for WVU.

Last year's picks:

ATS record: 9-16 (36%)

O/U record: 15-10 (60%)

Overall: 24-26 (48%)
