List of Players Not Playing in Duke's Mayo Bowl

A look at who is out for West Virginia and North Carolina.

The Duke's Mayo Bowl is almost here as West Virginia and North Carolina are one sleep away from squaring off inside Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina - the home of the Carolina Panthers. 

WVU comes into this bowl game in pretty good shape health-wise with the exception of All-American center Zach Frazier and running back CJ Donaldson being out. Wide receiver Preston Fox (shoulder) is questionable and will be a game-time decision.

The Mountaineers have had a dozen or so players enter the transfer portal since the end of the regular season, but many of those departures were depth pieces. The two biggest losses were defensive lineman Mike Lockhart and defensive back Hershey McLaurin, both of whom put together their season of college football.

On the other side, the Tar Heels have a boatload of key players not participating in the bowl game. Quarterback Drake Maye is the biggest, but there are others at the skill positions that will not play, making life even more difficult for Conner Harrell who will be making his first-ever collegiate start.
