Score Predictions for West Virginia at Baylor

Our staff picks who will win this week's game between the Mountaineers and Bears

The West Virginia Mountaineers (7-4, 5-3) are on the road for the season finale to take on the Baylor Bears (3-8, 2-6) Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. EST and the action will broadcast on FS1.

Schuyler Callihan: West Virginia 31, Baylor 20

The Mountaineers are terrific position to end the regular season with an 8-4 (6-3) record. Baylor is down and down bad. The Bears' offensive line has been giving up pressures and sacks all season long, which is probably why starting quarterback Blake Shapen has been and is beat up.

On the other side of the ball, Baylor has had some major issues in fitting the run game. This bodes well for a West Virginia offense that gashes its opponents on the ground. I don't expect this one to be close although it may look like it on the scoreboard at the end of the game. A late garbage touchdown from Baylor makes it look respectable.

Christopher Hall: West Virgina 34, Baylor 13

West Virginia will have to remain focused for the regular season finale while Baylor looks to send its seniors out with a win.

Bears starting quarterback Blake Shapen is doubtful with a head injury, but if he does play expect the score to stay within a possession.

West Virginia quarterback Garrett Greene is still looking to correct his bad game against Oklahoma, despite bouncing back last week against Cincinnati with 364 total yards and four touchdowns.

This game may become closer than fans would like if Shapen starts but I have no doubt the Mountaineers grab the win regardless, and with backup quarterback Sawyer Robinson making the start, I suspect WVU wins with ease 34-13.

Will CJ Donaldson & Doug Nester Play vs. Baylor?
