Will CJ Donaldson & Doug Nester Play vs. Baylor?
Running back CJ Donaldson was a gametime decision for last week's game against Cincinnati with a lower body injury but felt good after going through warmups and saw limited action in the game.
Donaldson rushed for 20 yards on five carries and didn't see much action in the second half as Jahiem White and Justin Johnson Jr. handled the workload. Head coach Neal Brown said that Donaldson felt better running in a particular direction, so he wasn't a full go and after White got going, he didn't see the benefit of putting Donaldson back in the game after standing on the sideline for a while.
As far as his availability for this week, it appears to be another gametime call.
"He will not practice today. He won't practice tomorrow," Brown said Monday when asked about Donaldson. "We'll get him going Wednesday. Use Doug (Nester) in the same (way). Give them a little more time to come back. I think both will end up being ready to go. I'll know more after Wednesday's practice but I feel like they'll probably be ready. We won't play either unless they can be close to 100 (percent)."
