West Virginia running back Tony Mathis Jr. shares his thoughts on the Mountaineer offense

The West Virginia football program is in its first week of the spring practice period and will be capped off with the annual Gold and Blue Spring Game April 22 with start time set for 1:00 p.m.

WVU running back Tony Mathis Jr. will enter his fifth year in the program this fall. He led the Mountaineer rushing attack last season with 562 yards and five touchdowns. The redshirt junior has rushed for 943 yards and six touchdowns in his career. 

Mathis met with the media on Thursday following the second practice of the spring period. He talked about running backs coach Chad Scott's promotion to offensive coordinator, winter workouts, offensive scheme and more.
