The Wisconsin Badgers faced an unexpected setback when running back Chez Mellusi suffered a fourth-quarter injury during their 38-17 victory over the Purdue Boilermakers.

After scoring a touchdown Braelon Allen honored his fellow running back.

During the post-game media conference, Head Coach Luke Fickell had the following to say about Mellusi, "They're hurting in there ... if we lose him for a while, it'll be tough. He's not just a great football player for us. He's not just a great tailback. He's, you know, ... a bit of the heart and soul of some of the things that we do."

On Saturday Braelon Allen took to X (formerly Twitter) to show his support once again.

Former Wisconsin Badger (and NFL linebacker) Vince Biegel also took to X to express his thoughts on the injury.

Our well-wishes accompany Chez Mellusi on his road to recovery.
