On Sunday afternoon at the UW Field House, the Wisconsin volleyball team took their record to a brilliant 13-0, and 4-0 in the Big Ten, after demolishing the Michigan Wolverines in straight sets: 25-13, 25-15, 25-14.

Dominating from the Start

The Badgers, right from the first serve, took control of the game. A service ace from MJ Hammill put them ahead at 10-3. Sarah Franklin extended the lead further with a 5-0 serving run, allowing Wisconsin to secure the first set at 25-13.

Steady Gains in the Second Set

In the second set, the Badgers showed no signs of letting up. Another impressive service ace from Franklin gave them an early lead, which they expanded to 18-11 before Michigan called a timeout. Wisconsin closed the set at 25-15.

A Clean Sweep to Finish

The Badgers dominated the Wolverines again in the third set. Devyn Robinson managed 6 kills (13 overall) and Gülce Güçtek had a service ace. Wisconsin finished the set with a 25-14 win.

In a special moment between the second and third sets, the 2013 National Runners-up were honored on their ten-year anniversary.

Wisconsin recorded an impressive .416 hitting percentage for the match, their best of the season. The Badgers are now set to take on Iowa this Wednesday, October 4, with the first serve slated for 7 p.m.
